Frequent travelers often face the frustration of unpacking wrinkled clothes in hotel rooms. While a steamer or iron can help, it’s often inconvenient when you’re tired or short on time. Aironox is trying to solve this problem with a new travel-focused device that is currently raising funds on Kickstarter.
From Home Appliance to Travel-Friendly Innovation
Aironox’s earlier device was already fully automatic and could remove wrinkles from clothes in just a few minutes. Its main drawback was its size and weight, as it was designed for home use, making it impractical for travel. Aironox Go is a travel-oriented version of the original product, designed to be lightweight, compact, and suitable for air travel.
The device has dimensions of 60 × 160 × 190 mm (2.4 × 6.3 × 7.5 in) and weighs 600 g (1.32 lb), making it small enough to fit easily in carry-on baggage.

Using it is simple: attach an inflatable accessory, place the clothes on it, plug it in, select a cycle, and let it run. It operates quietly at about 45 dB, so you can even rest while it works. The system operates completely hands-free, which is highlighted as a key advantage over conventional irons or travel steamers.
Warm Air Technology for Gentle Fabric Care
It uses warm air instead of steam, passing through slightly damp clothes to smooth fabric and remove moisture, and is claimed to work on various garments and materials like cotton, linen, and hemp.

Aironox Go is said to complete a cycle in about 8 to 12 minutes, though heavier or thicker fabrics may require a second run.
It includes three built-in attachments: inflatable shirt and trouser forms, and a zippered bag for drying or refreshing small items like socks and underwear. Optional scent pods are also available for adding a fresh fragrance to clothing.
The full travel set includes the main device, all three attachments, a carrying pouch, and a travel hanger. Early Kickstarter supporters can pre-order it for a pledge of US$129, with a planned retail price of $249. Shipping is expected in August, provided everything stays on schedule.
