Rockstar has confirmed that the Grand Theft Auto VI images leaked online over the weekend were a result of a Hack to their servers. The user that uploaded the gameplay, “teapotuberhacker,” claims they additionally are responsible for the strike on Uber last week. However, it’s still uncertain whether they’re connected.

“We recently suffered a network intrusion in which an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from our systems, including early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto,” Rockstar stated on Twitter. “We are extremely disappointed to have any details of our next game shared with you all in this way. Our work on the next Grand Theft Auto game will continue as planned, and we remain as committed as ever to delivering an experience to you, our players, that truly exceeds your expectations.”

At the moment, details regarding how the “network intrusion” happened are slim, yet Rockstar states it will “update everyone again soon.” The Verge reached out to Rockstar requesting a comment yet didn’t promptly hear back.

On Sunday, the hacker uploaded a 3GB file comprising 90 videos of early GTA VI gameplay footage.
