Shenzhen-based home entertainment brand JMGO has unveiled the latest addition to its triple-laser projector lineup at CES 2025: the N1S 4K, a powerful yet budget-friendly projector now available at an introductory price under $1,000.

A New Chapter in the N1 Series

JMGO first debuted its N1 Series of 4K projectors in March 2023, starting with the crowdfunded N1 Ultra. The family grew throughout the year, with subsequent models improving upon the original formula. In September 2024, the company expanded the lineup again, setting the stage for the newly announced N1S 4K.

While earlier models have typically carried price tags well above $1,000, the N1S 4K enters the market with a suggested retail price of $1,299, but is currently available for just $999, making it an attractive choice for home theater enthusiasts seeking quality without breaking the bank.

High-End Specs in a Compact Design

Despite its lower price, the N1S 4K doesn’t skimp on features. It sports a Microstructure Adaptive Laser Control (MALC 2.0) triple-laser light source capable of outputting 1,100 ISO lumens, outshining many competitors in the portable projector space. It promises 95% brightness uniformity and reduces laser speckles by up to 97%, offering a clean, vivid viewing experience ideal for dark rooms or shaded outdoor setups.

Under the hood, the projector features a 0.47-inch DMD chip, high-accuracy 10-bit color, and 4K UHD resolution with support for HDR10 content. Color reproduction is top-tier, covering 110% of the BT.2020 color gamut, and it boasts a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 (1,600:1 native FOFO). Its Delta E <1 color accuracy ensures faithful color rendering for a cinema-quality picture.

Smart Features and Streaming Power

Powered by Google TV, the N1S 4K offers a familiar, user-friendly interface with access to popular apps, including native Netflix. Additionally, it supports multiple user accounts, voice search, and screen sharing. Moreover, it comes equipped with HDMI 2.1 with ARC, a USB Type-A port, and two built-in 5-Watt speakers featuring Dolby and DTS decoding—effectively eliminating the need for extra equipment.

Installation and setup are a breeze thanks to features like autofocus, auto keystone correction, smart screen alignment, lossless zoom, adaptive brightness, and smart eye protection. The projector comes with a gimbal stand offering vertical tilt across 127 degrees, though it lacks the full 360-degree swivel seen in previous models.

Weighing just 4.4 lb (2 kg), it’s portable enough to move between rooms or into the backyard for movie nights – though it requires a wall outlet, as it doesn’t include a built-in battery.

Affordability Without Compromise

“For years, consumers have faced trade-offs between price, performance, and portability in the projector market,” said JMGO CEO Forrest Li. “With the N1S 4K, we’ve shattered those limitations. It’s a statement that cutting-edge technology should be within reach of every household.”

The N1S 4K is available now for $999, or alternatively, $1,059 when bundled with a 100-inch projection screen. As a result, it offers an ideal solution for those looking to create a cinematic experience at home or outdoors without a hefty investment.
