Smart Projector With Stand Streams Netflix In Full HD For Under $200

Dangbei has just launched a compact Full HD smart projector in the US, which comes mounted on a gimbal-style stand, allowing one-handed image adjustments over a 190-degree range. The model, called the N2 mini, supports popular apps like Netflix and Prime Video, can project visuals up to 120 inches, and features Dolby sound – all at a very attractive price point.
Portable Design – With a Catch
Although it’s marketed as portable, the N2 mini doesn’t have a built-in battery, unlike the company’s Freedo model. This means it needs to be plugged into a power outlet during use. On the plus side, it comes with its own articulated stand, which makes it easy to tilt the image from floor to ceiling and anywhere in between.
Setting up the image is simplified with features like auto-focus, auto keystone correction, screen fitting, and resizing to avoid obstacles. The sealed optical system prevents dust from affecting the image quality. It can project Full HD visuals up to 120 inches diagonally with a 1.25:1 throw ratio, though the recommended sweet spot is around 100 inches.

It’s worth noting that the LED light outputs only 200 ISO lumens, making it best suited for use in dark rooms or nighttime sessions. The system runs on a Linux-based platform, supported by 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage, offering access to nearly 300 apps. Wi-Fi 6 ensures smooth streaming, while Bluetooth allows control via the included remote.
As for connectivity, the projector includes HDMI and USB ports on the back. Sound comes from a 6-watt speaker system with Dolby support, and there’s also a 3.5 mm headphone jack for private viewing.
While there are more powerful compact projectors out there, the N2 mini is an appealing option for casual night-time streamers looking for a simple, affordable solution. The regular price is $229, but during the launch promotion, it’s available for just $179.
