YouTube announced on Wednesday that it’s enhancing the Shopping experience on Shorts by introducing new product stickers. These stickers are designed to help viewers easily identify and shop the products featured in a Short.
Product Stickers Drive More Engagement and Potential Revenue for Creators
According to the company, the new stickers may help creators boost their earnings. In tests conducted last month, Shorts featuring product stickers received over 40% more product clicks compared to those using the traditional Shopping button.
Previously, tagged products in Shorts appeared as a banner in the bottom-left corner alongside a Shopping button. When viewers clicked the banner, it brought up a list of items they could browse and purchase.

Creators can now tag products in their Shorts to automatically generate a sticker featuring the first tagged item, with options to resize and reposition it as needed.
Viewers Can Explore and Shop Multiple Tagged Products with a Single Tap
If a Short includes multiple tagged products, viewers can tap a downward arrow on the sticker to view the complete list. Selecting a product from the list will take them directly to the retailer’s website for more details or to make a purchase.
Shopping product stickers will roll out globally over the coming week, with the exception of South Korea—for now. YouTube says it plans to bring the feature there soon.
Speaking at Cannes Lions 2025, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan shared that Shorts are now averaging over 200 billion daily views. He also said Google’s Veo 3 video generator—which creates both video and audio—into Shorts later this summer.
