Genesis AI introduced Eno, its first general-purpose robot, as part of its goal to develop machines capable of operating across factories, laboratories, hospitals, hotels, and eventually homes.

The robot integrates Genesis AI’s proprietary hardware with GENE, its robotics foundation model that powers Eno’s control system. The company says it can handle complex tasks, adjust to different environments, and carry out goals with little human input.

A Shift From Traditional Industrial Robotics to Agent-Like Intelligence

Genesis AI says Eno is unlike conventional industrial robots because it functions as a physical agent instead of following fixed commands. The company claims it can interpret goals, adapt to changing situations, remember information, and complete long, multi-step tasks over time.

The announcement comes as robotics companies compete to build humanoid and general-purpose machines that can take on a broader range of real-world tasks with less specialized programming.

Instead of closely mimicking a human body, Eno uses a wheeled base paired with an adjustable tower-like structure. It can vary its height and reach in real time and collapse into a more compact shape when idle.

Human-Like Dexterity Through Advanced Robotic Hands

Its most human-like component is its robotic hands. Genesis AI says the hands replicate human form and function, allowing Eno to use standard tools in human-built environments.

The company said Eno was developed alongside GENE so that its physical system and intelligence function as a single integrated platform. GENE is designed to deliver human-like dexterity and support long-duration tasks that require planning and adaptation.

A key feature of Eno is an optional built-in display that shows its reasoning, operational status, and planned actions in real time.

Genesis AI says this aims to increase transparency and help users understand how the robot behaves while working alongside humans.

A New Model for Extending Human Capability in Robotics

What Genesis is building with Eno is a fundamentally new model for extending human capability through advanced robotics,” said Eric Schmidt, former Google CEO and Genesis AI investor.

The breakthrough is not replacing human expertise, but amplifying it — making advanced robotics genuinely useful, accessible, and scalable across industries.”

The company also said Eno could eventually oversee entire workflows rather than just individual tasks, such as supplying production lines, coordinating activities across sites, and preparing work areas for upcoming shifts.
