This week, Apple is officially releasing its Apple TV, Apple Music, and Apple Devices apps for Windows. These apps were first introduced in a preview version last year, but now Apple has removed the preview label after collaborating with Microsoft to launch them.

The three apps, along with a revamped iCloud for Windows app, aim to help Windows users stop relying on iTunes, as reported by MacRumors. If you use Apple TV, Apple Music, and Apple Devices, you’ll only need iTunes on Windows for podcasts and audiobooks.

Apple Music App

The Apple Music app lets you get to the iTunes library, and you can buy songs and albums there too. With Apple TV, Windows users can watch movies and TV shows from their iTunes library, plus other stuff they can stream if they have a subscription. Apple Devices allows PC users to back up or restore iPhones and iPads, and they can also sync stuff to those devices.

Microsoft

Microsoft has collaborated with Apple on these apps and is pleased to see their launch this week. Previously, Microsoft also introduced iCloud Photos integration in Windows, allowing users to connect their iCloud Photos library directly to the Photos app built into Windows 11.

Apple’s latest Windows apps compatible with conventional x86-based PCs, Windows 10 or Windows 11, with no indications as of now of ARM64 versions for Windows devices powered by Qualcomm.
