The Box-Pot provides a solution for campers who want to elevate their culinary game in the great outdoors. Instead of settling for basic camping fare like instant noodles or canned beans, this versatile cooking tool empowers individuals to create delicious and diverse meals while camping. Whether you’re a novice camper or a seasoned outdoor enthusiast, the Box-Pot opens the door to becoming a campsite culinary magician, enhancing your overall camping experience.

This innovative product is currently featured in a Kickstarter campaign and comes from the outdoor gear company Firebox, based in Utah. While it’s meant for use with Firebox’s portable Scout or Nano stoves, it’s adaptable to work with most heat sources.

Square and Compact Design

True to its name, the Box-Pot is essentially a small square-shaped pot. To be precise, it’s a 10-ounce (283-gram), 1-quart (946-milliliter) container crafted from BPA-free, food-grade stainless steel. It has dimensions of 3.25 inches in height, 4.5 inches in length, and 4.5 inches in width (83mm x 114mm x 114mm).

Its unique square design significantly reduces the storage space required when packing alongside other camping equipment. What’s more, the top corners of the Box-Pot double as convenient pour spouts for serving soups or hot beverages. These corners are curved for easy cleaning.

Versatile Cooking Capabilities

While the Box-Pot functions as a standard pot for boiling, simmering, or sautéing, it offers an option for baking when paired with a system-specific ceramic cooking stone. Moreover, its lid, with a raised lip, can accommodate hot embers, creating an oven-like baking experience.

The lid also features nine small holes in one corner, designed for straining water from pasta or similar items. When straining, users can rely on two foldout handles equipped with heat-resistant, grippy rubber coatings.

If it successfully goes into production, a $25 pledge will secure your very own Box-Pot, which is expected to retail for $27. For $30, you can get one with a cooking stone (retail price of $35). Additionally, there are options that bundle the Box-Pot with a Scout or Nano stove.
