Anker Unveils Powerful, Feature-Rich 4K Projector with Liquid Cooling

Anker has officially launched its newest outdoor projector, the Nebula X1, designed to deliver cinema-level brightness, simplified setup, and immersive audio—all for a price of $3,000.
Triple-Laser System Delivers High Brightness and Longevity
At the heart of the X1 is a triple-laser system, where individual lasers are used for red, green, and blue light. This system is built to last around 30,000 hours, and it’s paired with a 14-element glass lens capable of producing up to 3,500 ANSI lumens. That kind of brightness should make outdoor daytime viewing no problem.
The X1 projects 4K UHD visuals on screens up to 200 inches, with a throw range of 13 to 22 feet (or 4 to 6.7 meters) and a 0.9:1 to 1.5:1 throw ratio. It features motorized optical zoom, so you can resize the image without needing to move the projector. The lens is also mounted on a micro gimbal, which works with sensors to adjust the tilt by up to 25 degrees vertically, making angle adjustments automatic and easy.

Equipped with AI-based image optimization, the X1 adjusts the image based on the wall surface, color, and alignment. It even remembers your preferred settings for different rooms and setups, so you can quickly reapply them later.
This projector supports Dolby Vision, offers 110% Rec.2020 color coverage, and achieves a 5,000:1 native contrast ratio, promising detailed imagery even in shadowy scenes. Anker also notes that the heat-resistant glass lens won’t blur during long viewing sessions, unlike some resin lenses.
Innovative Liquid Cooling System Reduces Weight and Noise
To manage heat efficiently, Anker integrated a liquid cooling system—a first in this category. This not only improves performance but also helps make the 13.7-lb (6.7-kg) projector quieter and lighter than models that rely on fans.

The audio setup is equally impressive. A built-in 40-watt system includes dual tweeters, a full-range driver, and a passive radiator. For a more immersive experience, users can connect wireless lossless speakers that provide 4.1.2 surround sound. Each satellite speaker features four drivers and offers 8 hours of battery life, with a low-latency Wi-Fi connection up to 100 feet (30 meters).

Running Google TV, the projector supports a wide range of streaming apps and is compatible with voice controls, a mobile app, a physical remote, and onboard buttons. Connection options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, USB-A and USB-C ports, and a 3.5-mm audio jack.

Convenience features include a pop-up handle for easy transport. However, the unit doesn’t include a built-in battery, so it requires a nearby power outlet. It also supports 3D content with DLP Link 3D glasses, and you can even pair it with optional wireless microphones for karaoke—something you won’t find on most projectors.
Pricing and Bundles: Is It Worth the Cost?
The Nebula X1 goes on sale May 21 for $3,000. A bundle that includes two satellite speakers, two microphones, and a carrying case will be available for $4,000. Customers who sign up on the Nebula website can receive up to $700 off the bundle.
While it’s pricier than the well-received $2,000 Nebula Cosmos Laser 4K, it brings a lot to the table. Competing models include JMGO’s N1S Ultimate at $2,800 and HiSense’s C2 Ultra at just under $2,500. Still, for those prioritizing extreme brightness and wireless audio, the X1 is a standout contender.
