Samsung Electronics is launching a software update for its Galaxy Buds series, which will elevate the artificial intelligence (AI) functionalities of these wireless earphones. On February 20th, Samsung Electronics revealed that enhancements to Galaxy Buds will enable users to seamlessly utilize a range of AI features from the Galaxy S24 series, marking Samsung’s debut AI-driven smartphone.

One cool thing is that you can connect the Galaxy S24’s real-time translation feature, the AI Interpreter, with Galaxy Buds. Samsung says this makes translations even better by splitting the sound during a conversation. You can listen to translations using the wireless earphones, while the person you’re talking to hears them from your phone’s speaker.

How Galaxy S24’s Works

A Samsung spokesperson said that instead of passing one device back and forth to use this feature, people can concentrate on the conversation by connecting the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Buds. Users can turn on the AI interpretation feature even when they’re up to 10 meters away while wearing Galaxy Buds.

More Feature

Samsung is also using Galaxy AI for its AI assistant Bixby, so users can use different AI features just by talking. For instance, you can start real-time translation calls by saying, “Hi Bixby, call Michael in English.”

Always Samsung is making Room for Improvement

Samsung intends to bring the generative AI capabilities found exclusively in the Galaxy S24 series to the Galaxy S23 series, as informed by individuals familiar with the situation. These functionalities comprise real-time call translation, enhanced photo editing, and a Circle to Search feature developed in collaboration with Google.

“A Samsung spokesperson mentioned that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Fold 5 smartphones will receive multiple updates throughout the year to integrate generative AI features.”
