Amazing Results LG and Samsung on Transparent´s Screen

After years of being the focal point in living rooms, large flat-screen TVs might begin to blend seamlessly with the decor, thanks to innovative see-through TV models unveiled by South Korean consumer electronics giants LG and Samsung.

During the introduction of a transparent Signature OLED TV scheduled for release later this year, an LG executive posed the question on stage, “Imagine a screen that returns your space to you.”

The company claims that when the TV is turned off, it’s almost invisible and doesn’t disrupt the room’s style, avoiding the unattractive large black screen.

The TV looks like a glass box, allowing you to see through it when it’s off. However, when you turn it on, it transforms into a high-definition television for watching shows. Alternatively, you can use it to display a digital fish tank, a burning fire, or any digital image that complements your home decor.

Transparent TV

Even though transparent TV technology isn’t new, companies have struggled to convince customers to adopt it, especially due to high prices. Samsung showcased its own TV screen prototype that appears clear like a window but features tiny LEDs for vivid high-definition images when it’s turned on.

Samsung expressed that transparent LEDs are set to redefine how we experience watching content, making the distinction between what’s on the screen and reality almost indiscernible.
