Kamado Joe’s latest grill is built for pitmasters who need ample space for large meals and enjoy the ease of high-tech features in their grilling tools.

In fact, the Kamado Joe Big Joe Konnected Joe Digital Charcoal Grill and Smoker – yes, that’s the full name – offers impressive power, a 24-inch (61 cm) cooking surface, and mobile app control, all housed in a striking ember red ceramic design. It can be yours for $3,000.

Kamado Joe Expands Its Smart Grilling Lineup

However, this isn’t Kamado Joe’s first venture into smart grilling. In 2023, the company introduced the 18-inch (45.7 cm) Konnected Joe model, packed with modern features, priced at $1,700. The new model unveiled today (let’s just call it the BJKJ for short) offers similar functionality but provides much more cooking space.

While you can still grill proteins the traditional way over charcoal with the new BJKJ, it’s built to give you precise control over the cooking process, making it more convenient as well.

Convenience at Your Fingertips

For starters, the Automatic Fire Starter lets you ignite your coals with just the push of a button—no need for lighter fluid. An electronically controlled fan maintains your desired temperature for both grilling and smoking.

Additionally, the grill features a digital control panel that tracks internal temperatures, manages cooking times, and offers Automatic Cook Modes for those times when you want to keep things hands-off.

You can manage all of these functions remotely via Wi-Fi using a mobile app, which also lets you monitor temperatures from multiple meat probes simultaneously.

Impressive Cooking Capacity and Temperature Range

The BJKJ can reach temperatures ranging from 225 °F (107 °C) to 700 °F (371 °C) and provides 450 sq in (2,903 sq cm) of cooking space—200 sq in more than the original Konnected Joe. However, Kamado Joe claims this is ample room for 22 burger patties or eight whole chickens.

There are several additional features to appreciate:
