A New Game, “Squirrel With a Gun,” Is Coming to Steam… Wait What?
Squirrel With a Gun is a future Steam video game developed in Unreal Engine 5 that has gone viral because of its main protagonist, a squirrel… whit a gun.
Dan DeEntremont is developing the video game. Footage of the game highlights the titular Squirrel running through a town with normal-sized guns, going after unsuspecting people, and taking down Agents with a number of tools.
Squirrel With a Gun will even let you parry attacks to unarm enemies and use the recoil from guns to fly through the air and cross big gaps, ones you would not have the ability to do just on squirrel power alone. If you feel extra mischievous, you can even rob citizens of their cake, phones, and more.
Squirrel With a Gun’s first trailer reveals adorable hats and accessories you can dress your gun-caring furry friend. Puzzles in a secret laboratory that award you with a tasty and digital-looking nutty treat are also in the game.
The genre of games where animals cause chaos looks to have a new competitor and one that will someday join the likes of Goat Simulator and Untitled Goose Game. As for when that day will come? DeEntremont is already stating on the game’s Steam page that Squirrel With a Gun’s planned launch date is a “good question!”. Meaning it might be some time before we can become this epic rodent.
