Elden Ring Board Game Coming to Kickstarter

Elden Ring is getting a board game variant, thanks to a cooperation between Bandai Namco and Steamforged Games. Bandai Namco, the publisher of Elden Ring and board game designer Steamforged, already collaborated on a Dark Souls board game. Steamforged has additionally produced adaptations of Horizon, Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, and much more.

According to Steamforged, the board game’s Kickstarter campaign will start soon. It isn’t specifically known how the board game will play; however, it will support between 1 and 4 Tarnished players exploring renowned areas of Elden Ring’s enormous world, The Lands Between.

Players can additionally take on enemies and bosses from the game, with “dice-free combat, requiring players to strategize and adapt their plans during each encounter”. The announcement stated players will need to handle enemies, including a “lowly Godrick Soldier or the Grafted King himself.”

In 2018, Steamforged Games’ Dark Souls board game reached its Kickstarter financing objective in merely three minutes. We’ll need to wait and see if Elden Ring can break that record, provided just how quickly the video game has sold this year.

This isn’t the only variation of FromSoftware’s smash hit we’ve seen lately. Previously this month, Elden Ring received an official manga with a comical twist on the Tarnished and The Lands Between.

Elden Ring has quickly been the most-discussed game of 2022. IGN awarded it a 10 in their review. Elden Ring has also received the award for Most Anticipated Game and a Game of the Year title. The game also became a Twitch sensation thanks partially to the legendary player, Let Me Solo Her.
