APG Releases Its Own Certification For Traveling Representatives

The APG is now establishing its own sales network beyond GDSs and BSPs with its new distribution products APG Connect and APG Platform.

APG’s aim with these new products is the non-IATA travel agent. Although all travel agents can register for these platforms, both are easy, secure, simple to establish and reserve on. All travel agencies utilizing APG Connect and/or APG Platform will end up being an AAA (APG Accredited Agent) and assigned a distinct certification number.

No financial security is needed to join APG’s Accredited Agents Network.

APG Platform and APG Connect

The APG Platform is a Ticketing Platform that can help traveling agents in generating additional revenue by enlarging their catalog and by selling air and non-air ancillaries incorporated.

APG Connect is the new sales channel of APG IET, the Interline E-Ticketing “hub” with its own airline company APG Airlines (GP-275) that enable airlines, through a single interline arrangement. This arrangement will turn over a considerable additional revenue stream and increase their sales distribution to more international markets. Since today, more than 80 airline companies are sellable in APG Connect and 13 in APG
Platform.

Ophelie Cherdrong, APG IET/Connect Executive Product Director, commented, “This is an excellent opportunity, specifically for non-IATA agents, to be part of a global network of travel agencies and to gain from APG’s sales channels.”

Moreover, Thibault Lenoir, APG Executive VP, adds, “This accreditation confirms that APG has a distinct bond with local travel agencies across the world. With the pandemic, travel agents require flexible solutions, especially than in the past. This is why we developed the APG Platform. The APG Platform is a free access B2B NDC reservation tool available to everyone, supporting numerous forms of payments, and is directly connected to the most recent and ideal content of a growing portfolio of partner airline companies. Distribution is transforming, and we are proud to be involved in it.
