Apple is Introducing Polls to Messages in iOS 26

At WWDC 2025 on Monday, Apple revealed that polls will be added to Messages in the upcoming iOS 26 update. This feature, highly requested by users, has already been popular on platforms like WhatsApp and Telegram.
This feature will enable users to cast votes directly within group chats. For instance, you might create a poll to choose the location for your next girls’ brunch or to pick the next book for your book club.
Apple Intelligence Suggests Context-Based Polls in Messages
Apple revealed that Apple Intelligence can recommend polls based on the context of your conversations. For example, if someone asks, “What should we eat?” Apple Intelligence will prompt you to create a poll.
Although this feature isn’t revolutionary, it’s great to see Apple catch up with other messaging platforms by offering users an easier way to plan and make decisions directly within group chats.
