Meta has officially launched Meta AI in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), making its AI-powered chatbot accessible to millions more users.

Following its October announcement of expansion into six additional markets, including Brazil and the U.K., Meta had hinted at a gradual rollout to other regions, including MENA.

Now, Meta AI is available in Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Yemen. Alongside this expansion, Meta has introduced Arabic language support.

Meta AI Enhances User Experience in MENA with Chat Integration and New Creative Tools

In fact, users can interact with the virtual assistant by tagging @meta in chats on Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger—though availability varies by region—to get recommendations on places to visit or songs for a road trip playlist.

Meta also plans to enhance AI features in MENA, introducing tools like “Imagine Me” for creating stylistic selfies and an audio dubbing feature for Instagram Reels.

Meta AI Now Available in 42 Countries, Supporting 13 Languages and 700 Million Users

With this expansion, Meta reports that Meta AI is now accessible in 42 countries and supports 13 languages, reaching approximately 700 million users across platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and Facebook.

AI has become even more accessible with the official launch of Meta AI in the Middle East and North Africa, now featuring Arabic language support. This expansion gives millions of users across the region free access to one of the world’s most advanced AI assistants, seamlessly integrated into popular apps like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger.

Meta AI empowers users worldwide to learn, create, and engage with what matters most to them. Now, it will be readily available to users in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Iraq, Algeria, Jordan, Libya, Tunisia, and Yemen.

However, available features differ by region. For example, in certain European countries, Meta AI is restricted to answering general questions on Ray-Ban Meta AR glasses due to data privacy regulations.
