Triple-Screen Laptop Merges Immersive Experience with Portability

The screen size is a key factor in choosing a laptop, and many wonder if you can have a larger display without sacrificing portability. The creators of the TriMax Pro aim to offer a bigger-screen experience while maintaining the laptop’s portability.

We’ve reviewed several devices aimed at expanding a laptop’s screen space, like the CrowView, S2, and Sliden’Joy. While these attachments connect to your existing laptop, the TriMax Pro offers a more integrated and streamlined solution.

Built from the ground up as a three-screen laptop, it eliminates the need for cumbersome cables and folds into a single, compact unit for easy portability.

TriMax Pro Offers Extensive Display Setup with Limitations

Although advertised as providing a “limitless workspace,” the TriMax Pro features a central 16-inch display with 10.5-inch screens on each side. Each display has a resolution of 1920 x 1280, but the side screens are oriented in portrait mode (1280 x 1920). The IPS screens offer a brightness of up to 400 nits.

The Windows 11 Pro laptop comes in various configurations, beginning with the “Barebones” model that includes an Intel Core i5-1235U processor, AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS graphics card, 16 GB of RAM, and a 512 GB SSD. Standard features include a 10-point touchpad, Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth 5.3, fingerprint recognition, dual 2.5-W speakers, and a 5-MP camera. It also offers two USB 3.2 ports, an HDMI port, and a Type-C port.

Customizable Keyboard and Efficient Cooling in the TroMax Pro

The low-profile mechanical keyboard features detachable keycaps and adjustable backlighting, allowing users to personalize their setup.

The TroMax Pro’s creators claim that its 90 Wh battery provides up to six hours of use, depending on how it’s used. Continuing with the “triple” theme, the laptop is equipped with a “triple fan system” designed to prevent overheating, even during processor-intensive tasks like gaming or running demanding applications.

However, the TriMax Pro is currently running a Kickstarter campaign that has already exceeded its $5,000 goal by eight times, with two weeks left in the campaign.

Pledges start at $799 for the Barebones model (a 38% discount off the $1,299 MSRP) and go up to $1,179 for a version with 32 GB of RAM and a 2 TB SSD. As with any crowdfunding campaign, there are no guarantees, but if all goes according to plan, the TriMax Pros are expected to be shipped to backers in November 2024.
