Guozi Robotics announced last week that it has implemented an intelligent production and logistics system at TZ Group’s greenfield factory, where nearly 200 varied robots now handle the entire excavator manufacturing process and logistics operations.

TZ said the go-live helped resolve several long-standing issues by automating every stage from production through final shipment, covering challenges such as high-mix/low-volume manufacturing and restricted flexibility.

Intelligent Mobile Solutions for Logistics and Manufacturing

Guozi Robotics, based in Hangzhou, China, develops mobile robots for logistics and manufacturing. Its machines feature full-scenario intelligent navigation, multi-agent scheduling, flexible collaboration, and interactive capabilities.

The company said it has served more than 1,000 customers across 20 countries. Its heavy-duty ANTS series and picking robots are already supporting smart production in “lighthouse factories” for global manufacturers such as Zoomlion, XCMG, and Sany.

Guozi and Staples Celebrate Nine Years of Strategic Collaboration

Earlier this year, Guozi and Staples Inc. marked the ninth year of their strategic partnership. Over the course of their collaboration, the two firms have signed two strategic cooperation agreements, with Guozi delivering more than 1,000 robots to Staples.

Guozi implemented several advanced technologies at TZ Group’s facility, including swarms of mobile robots that perform precise transfers through dynamic path planning.

Advanced Robotics and Contactless Power Systems for Continuous Operations

It also deployed a network of gantry robots, collaborative robots, turnover units, and other customized equipment to handle complex, high-mix operations without retooling downtime. In addition, Guozi installed contactless power rails designed to ensure continuous 24/7 operation for TZ.

The entire setup is powered by Guozi’s proprietary Line-Side Control System (LCS) and manufacturing execution system (MES), which the company said streamline data integration between shop-floor equipment and plant management systems.

According to Guozi, the three-dimensional distribution network at TZ works as follows:

It categorizes materials into large, medium, small, and standard parts.
ANTS lift AGVs, multi-layer picking robots, and heavy-duty carriers automatically connect with racks, pallets, and bins.
An AI-powered robot control system (RCS) manages hundreds of AGVs with centimeter-level precision, enables multiple part-request methods, and integrates dynamic storage with intelligent picking—providing complete visibility from the warehouse to the workstation.
