Hisense has rolled out the L9Q 4K Triple Laser UST projector, first showcased at CES 2025. This premium ultra-short-throw unit delivers 5,000 lumens of brightness, high contrast, and Google TV integration, all paired with professional-grade sound. Full U.S. pricing and specifications are now confirmed.

TriChroma Laser Technology

As the latest flagship from the world’s top Laser TV maker, the L9Q is powered by a TriChroma laser system, using red, green, and blue lasers to produce 5,000 ANSI lumens and cover 110% of the BT.2020 color spectrum.

According to Hisense, that combination enables “bright, sharp images even in well-lit spaces,” with deeper blacks, brighter whites, and a native 5,000:1 contrast ratio for a highly dynamic picture. Pantone certification also ensures lifelike skin tones for characters on screen.

The projector supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and IMAX Enhanced content. Built-in processing enhances resolution, boosts HDR performance, and reduces visual noise to make even lower-quality content appear closer to 4K.

Projection Capabilities

At its core, the unit uses a 0.47-inch DMD chip to project 4K (3,840 x 2,160) visuals up to a massive 200 inches diagonally. With a throw ratio of 0.18:1, it needs just 21 inches from wall to display that scale — and even from barely over 2 inches away, it can still project an 80-inch screen.

Entertainment runs through Google TV with Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, giving access to Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Prime Video, YouTube, and more. Voice search, screen mirroring, and compatibility with Control4 smart home systems round out the streaming and control features.

“For audio, the L9Q features an exclusive Opéra de Paris | Devialet edition. Its 6.2.2 channel speaker system with Dolby Atmos creates rich, multidimensional sound that fills the room – perfect for movies and music”

Gamers can expect ultra-low input lag of 12 ms at 2K/120 Hz via HDMI 2.1, with refresh rates up to 240 Hz possible at reduced resolution. A dedicated Game Bar overlay provides quick access to key performance settings.

Premium Audio Experience

On the audio front, French luxury sound brand Devialet partnered with the Opéra de Paris to fine-tune the integrated 6.2.2-channel speaker system, promising immersive and cinematic sound quality.

Hisense confirmed U.S. availability, with pre-orders open at $5,999.99 — positioning it at the luxury end of lifestyle projectors. Buyers can also add an optional Ambient-Light-Rejection screen, available in sizes from 100 to 150 inches, for an even more refined viewing experience.
